The Sangamon CEO program launched in 2013. It is a one-year study of entrepreneurship for high school seniors. Our class meets from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. Students learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, venture investments, business pitching, marketing and market research, and product development.
Since 2013, Sangamon CEO has graduated 150 students.
Early-stage Financial Support
A $300 stipend is provided per business for current students.
Since 2013, students have received a total of $30,000 in startup funding.
Great startups need great mentors. We connect our students to rockstar entrepreneurs, business leaders and subject matter experts. Our network has access to over 100 expert mentors from all parts of the community.
A fully equipped co-working space is available to our students through our partnership with Innovate Springfield, a business and social innovation incubator in downtown Springfield.
In addition to co-working space, our students have access to a variety of workshops through our partnership with Innovate Springfield.
