We are excited to share with you the experience of outdoor ice skating in our hometown of Springfield. This would have not been possible if not for the hard work and vision of our High School students, along with the support of our business community. 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone and we hope that this ice rink brings you a glimpse of the winter holiday spirit.
To keep everyone safe, and so we can continue to enjoy this activity, we please ask your help in complying with the Sangamon County COVID regulations. While visiting our ice rink please do the following:
Wear your mask at all times — including while ice skating, waiting in line for your turn, or while watching others skate.
Social distancing of six-feet or more is required (even if outdoors).
If you believe that you have symptoms, have been exposed to someone who has symptoms, or if you or someone you have been exposed to in the past 10 days has tested positive for the CORONA VIRUS, please stay at home.
If you are over the age of 65, or are in an at-risk group for COVID, please exercise additional caution when visiting the ice rink.
Please do not congregate in groups, and limit your interactions to your party.
Please follow one-way traffic signs and adhere to the instructions of our students.
When arriving at the ice rink you must visit the health-screening table first. There, we will ask you a Check list of COVID symptoms. If you answer YES to any of the listed symptoms, we must ask you to leave. Please do not attend if you are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus.
Skating on the ice rink is a one-way only. Please follow the flow of traffic. There is a one-way entrance to the rink, and a one-way exit. Please follow the signs. Per tier 3 mitigations, Only up to 20 people will be allowed on the ice rink. Please be patient awaiting for your turn.
