My name is Dayna Kopecky, and I am a senior at Springfield High School and a competitive dancer at Dance Creations Dance Studio. I have a passion for dance, but specifically, it’s teaching the art of dance. Because of my love for teaching, I aspire to open my own dance studio and continue to inspire the next generation of dancers. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized that, with business, I could combine my two passions and own a dance studio. The CEO program has helped me gain the confidence I will need to succeed in the business world.
I applied for the CEO program because my brother was a member of the second class, and I saw first hand what a difference it truly can have on someone. I have only been a member of the program for a little over 2 months now, but I already can see a difference in my self-confidence. The site visits are the part of the class I have found to be the most valuable. It is such a unique experience to be able to hear the struggles and prosperities of such successful business men and women. It really shows me how adversity can be overcome as long as you keep trying and never give up.
CEO has pushed me in ways I have never been pushed before. Working with 49 other students to create a successful business has strengthened my communication skills, making me more confident in my ability to succeed in the business world. I am grateful for the opportunities CEO presents me with and for the friendships I have begun to build.
